Undergraduate level students are admitted to the department, which consists of Turkish Classical Music and Turkish Folk Music Majors, with a special talent exam.
In addition to individual instrument training and vocal training, the Turkish Music Department includes a four-year undergraduate program supported by field courses such as instrument knowledge, western music solfeggio and theory, Turkish music solfege and theory, collective practice and repertoire.
